In just under 6 months, this 1,330 sqft 2 bedroom 2 bathroom house became a 4 bedroom 2.5 bathroom 2,150 sqft house! This was our first full addition and despite a few "hidden expenses" this project went very smooth! We added on 820 sqft to create a much larger open concept kitchen, interior laundry room, powder room and bedroom. We incorporated fun details throughout every room in this remodel. In addition to a full interior remodel, we also remodeled the entire landscaping as well. A little landscaping love goes a long way for creating an inviting, welcoming space for the new home owners and their guests!
The biggest change to this house is seen right here! This was the exterior wall that was knocked down to allow for the addition! There is a new hallway the leads to the new powder room and fourth bedroom just behind the existing fireplace. The new board and batten fireplace detail brings so much character into the space and accentuates the vaulted ceilings.
We do not have before and after pictures of the new kitchen because it was completely added on! The original kitchen was converted to the family room just off the new kitchen creating a better use of space for this open concept floor plan. The black and white contrasting cabinets set the mood for this modern farmhouse style that we were going for. A chiseled subway tile backsplash, rustic wood floating shelves and brass hardware add neural character full of texture in this new kitchen.
